  TERRITORY
The Biellese province is a territory of 913 square kilometers situated in the north-east area of  Piedmont, a region in north-west of Italy. The capital of the area, which has 82 municipalities with about 190,000 inhabitants, is Biella, one of the largest and most qualified worldwide wool industry centers. The province of Biella was established in March 1992.

THE ECONOMIC STRUCTURE

The Biella area can be called one of the oldest industrial districts: the employed in various economic sectors are 80,000, slightly less than half of them work in industry. The activity rate is one of the highest in Italy and it is equal to 67.6%, compared with an unemployment rate of 6.7%.

THE STRATEGIC POSITION
The Biella district, in addition to offering all the technical and financial tools to build a business plan, has a very attractive location for logistics.
The province lies at the heart of two multimodal corridors, the Rotterdam-Genoa TEN24 and the Lisbon-Kiev TEN5, that will be increasingly strategic for moving goods. Moreover, it is less than 100 km from Milan and Turin and minutes from the A4 motorway  that connects it to the whole network of North Italy and the Alps passes.
